Alex is a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research and is interested in how machine learning can help us discover new insights from biological data, by finding patterns that are too subtle or large-scale to identify unassisted. Alex’s research primarily focuses on biological images, with a methodological focus on self-supervised learning methods, as these are less biased by prior knowledge.
