Evelyn is a PhD candidate in the Medical Engineering and Medical Physics (MEMP) program in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) department. Her primary research interest is developing high-throughput methods along with single-cell genomic tools to identify cell-intrinsic drivers for cancer plasticity and mechanisms behind therapeutic resistance, specifically in pancreatic cancer. Originally from Guangzhou, Evelyn moved to the US and completed her bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Biotechnology at UC San Diego in 2020. During her PhD, she discovered that she is deeply curious about new biological concepts and eager to see how novel technologies and discoveries can revolutionize healthcare. Outside of research, Evelyn is a cat mom and enjoys cooking, baking, outdoor adventures, and binge-watching TC shows. In addition, she has an obsession for authentic French croissants.
