Sebastiano Cultrera di Montesano, PhD 

Sebastiano is a postdoctoral fellow at the EWSC, a center bridging AI and biology at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. He obtained his PhD in computational topology at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, working under the supervision of Prof. Herbert Edelsbrunner. Seb is interested in how cells organize spatially to form complex tissues. Which aspects of the geometry and topology of these cellular arrangements are necessary for tissue function? What new biology can we uncover if we take spatial information into account?
